July Core Value Award - Meet Jackie
Again this month, Schwartz Insurance Group selected one peer-nominated associate to receive a Core Value award. The winner is chosen because they "lived” one of our agency’s core values … typically an event or accomplishment above and beyond the call of duty in servicing our customers. This month, Jackie Cordle was selected – here’s Jackie’s story:
“Break time!!” In some circles, this means work is over for a while … nothing will get between me and my break. In other words, it’s MY time now!
In our business, we serve at the pleasure of all our clients … on THEIR time. If a client needs help, we respond, with a smile. Even someone we may not normally help. Even during our lunch break.
That ability to respond to nearly any request, with a smile, is key to cultivating trust. It’s key to building a business. It’s going to be key for Jackie Cordle’s success. It’s the definition of Quick to Smile!
Congratulations, Jackie! Here’s a bit more about her, in her own words:
1. Tell us a little bit about the type of work you do at Schwartz Insurance Group.
I work with Personal insurance and help out with Commercial if I receive a phone call for a billing question or a Certificate of Insurance. My goal is to keep our current clients happy and to add more happy clients.
2. When you aren’t at work, what keeps you busy?
My husband Mike and my dog Travis. I travel to Columbus, Ohio often to see my family.
3. Have you always been in this industry? If not, what brought you where you are today?
I started in the insurance field in 1987. I lived in Columbus and worked in the Farmers Insurance Group's regional office. In 2000, Farmers closed that office and I began working for Motorists Insurance, at the home office in Columbus. In 2001, my husband was transferred and we ended up in Louisville, Kentucky. My first agency job was with Chelf Insurance, beginning October of 2006.
4. What’s one thing you love about what you do for a living?
Meeting new people, learning new systems and programs. With the transition to Schwartz Insurance Group, there’s been LOTS of opportunity for that … but the people have been so great in helping us and making us feel welcome. I love where I work!
5. Tell us a little bit about what you do for fun.
I quilt, sew and do embroidery in my spare time. We have a boat and enjoy boating and fishing. I am also an avid trap-shooter and am currently in a trapshooting league.
6. If you could do one thing for a living that had nothing to do with your current job, what would it be?
I would work in a quilting or sewing specialty store.
7. UK or UofL?
Well, I wear a UK shirt when I go to Ohio to aggravate my family, but I am a true Buckeye fan!!! What can I say … I am a real nut!
