Moving From Employee Wellness to Employee Well-Being

The terms "wellness" and "well-being" are often used interchangeably; however, they mean very different things when applied to workplace health promotion. Traditionally speaking, employee "wellness" programs have primarily focused on just physical health. Whereas employee "well-being" programs emphasize emotional, mental, social, and financial health in addition to physical health.

Kentucky Individual Health Insurance Rates Could Increase 20% to 60% in 2017

A recent "Louisville Business First" article, titled " Health Insurers Seek 2017 Rate Hikes In Kentucky," reports that many insurers in the state have requested rate increases for next year.  According to the  Kentucky Department of Insurance, the average proposed increase is around 20% -- but are as high as 65%!

What Employers Need to Know about the IRS-SSA-CMS Data Match Program

Beginning in early 2016, many employers received letters from the IRS-SSA-CMS Data Match program. These letters are addressed to the employer and begin by stating that "Medicare needs your cooperation." Employers are directed to report information on the IRS/SSA/CMS Data Match Secure website at the following link:
