Schwartz Insurance Group always strives to give back to the community. Our Volunteer Committee’s spring charity event was a donation drive to benefit Stepworks, an addiction treatment center with locations throughout the state of Kentucky.

The Stepworks story began over a decade ago with a simple mission: help people recover from addiction, with emphasis on the individual instead of a one-size-fits-all approach. Stepworks offers residential, detox, and outpatient services.

Earlier this month, Deron Bibb, the CFO of a local Stepworks recovery center, stopped by our office to meet with Scott Schwartz and pick up the donations collected during our spring drive (L to R: Scott Schwartz, Deron Bibb).

I dropped off the items to one of our Elizabethtown facilities today and explained their origin. The staff was most excited and reiterated how welcome the items will be. Thank you guys again for the generosity. - Deron Bibb

Letter sent to Schwartz from the staff at the Elizabethtown Stepworks location:

Please accept our thanks for providing the various personal items that our patients routinely need while receiving substance abuse treatment at our facility. As patients often arrive without the basic necessities, these will be put to good use. Thank you again!

MarchDonationsSchwartz Insurance Group has been honored in the past for its involvement in local philanthropy. The Schwartz Opportunity Support (SOS) Fund is the non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) philanthropic outlet of SIG. Clients, friends and associates are provided opportunities (and encouraged) to "cultivate trusted relationships" by giving back to the community.

The SOS fund supports a variety of causes throughout the year (The Dream Factory, March of Dimes, Mom's Closet, American Red Cross, Harbor House, and others). If you or someone you know would like to make a donation to SOS, please contact us.
