Every month, Schwartz Insurance Group selects a peer-nominated associate to receive a Core Value Award. The winner is chosen because they "lived" one of our agency's core values - typically an event or accomplishment above and beyond the call of duty in serving our customers. For the month of December, Michell Fust has "lived" our core value of "Get the Juices Flowing."
Here's her story:
Insurance sometimes requires special skills – the ability to interpret exactly what’s needed, the drive to seek out the perfect solution and the stamina to survive the process – all in record time!
When a new business opportunity arose last week, that’s exactly what was required. Figure out what a newbie needed, source options from all the carriers and putting it all in place just in time. Oh, then to help the business owner explain exactly what they had to offer!
Michell Fust delivered in a pinch, with expertise and professionalism. She made everyone look good by doing just what was needed, and she was able to “Get the Juices Flowing!”
Here, in her own words, is a little more information about Michell:
What do you find most challenging about your role as Business Advisor?
The most challenging thing I come across is trying to stay up to date with all the changes in the insurance world from coverages to companies. It really keeps a person on their toes!
If you could no longer work in the insurance field, what career would you choose?
Oddly enough, I would have been a cosmetologist, or I would have chosen to work with computers somehow - two different ends of the spectrum.
What rock group gets your vote for the greatest band of all time? Or do you prefer country music?
I listen to all kinds of music, so I would have a hard time picking just one. So ... I'll give you my top three favorites: Keith Urban, Lucero and Ed Sheeran.
If you could go back in time and give your eighteen-year-old self a bit of advice, what would it be?
Follow your heart and dreams. Don't let anybody tell you that you can't do something. Figure out a way to achieve that dream and make it happen!
What adjective best describes you?
Cooperative.
What might we be surprised to learn about you?
I've taken up the hobby of gardening over the past two summers and I find it very relaxing.
