Every month, Schwartz Insurance Group selects a peer-nominated associate to receive a Core Value Award. The winner is chosen because they "lived" one of our agency's core values - typically an event or accomplishment above and beyond the call of duty in serving our customers. For the month of February, Jennifer Capshaw has "lived" our core value of "There’s Only Opportunity."
Here's her story:
Schwartz Insurance Group found itself in a fortunate, yet strange, situation. An insurance carrier recommended that someone who needed an agency buyer due to personal circumstances reach out to us. We were happy to help.
Essentially, this meant an associate quickly had to learn about a new set of clients and become their point of contact. We turned to a new team member and offered her the “opportunity” – and she eagerly accepted the challenge, feeling confident that she could ease the clients’ transition.
It was a welcome response, and it revealed her conscientious nature and her willingness to be a team player who supports our agency. Jennifer Capshaw is already proving “There’s Only Opportunity.”
Here, in her own words, is a little more information about Jennifer:
How long have you worked in the insurance industry? What do you find most rewarding, or challenging, about your role as a Personal Advisor?
I will have been working in the insurance industry for 26 years this coming April. The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping people – and this can also be the most challenging part!
What adjective best describes you?
Dependable.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world – money being no object – where would you visit?
I would love to see the Holy Land, if danger wasn’t an issue.
Does the Capshaw household have any pets?
I have a cat named Cookie. She’s a tuxedo.
Do you have any personal interests or hobbies?
I like to read, watch movies, and spend time with my husband and cat.
What’s your favorite movie of all time?
After thinking about this question for two days, I can’t decide on just one movie, so I’ll go with a genre: I do love a good mystery!
