Every month, Schwartz Insurance Group selects a peer-nominated associate to receive a Core Value Award. The winner is chosen because they "lived" one of our agency's core values - typically an event or accomplishment above and beyond the call of duty in serving our customers. For the month of March, Tina Singleton has "lived" our core value of "Consider it Done."
Here's her story:
Teamwork is always a good thing – and teammates can be invaluable. This is especially true in the insurance business.
A last-minute policy needs to be issued, but you’re on an important call. You need help navigating a carrier website. That quote must be issued ASAP, but you are overwhelmed with other tasks.
It’s reassuring to be able to count on a teammate in times of need - whether it’s answering office phones, welcoming a visitor or simply being on standby. Fortunately, this type of teamwork is a benefit we enjoy. Whether it’s supporting the Commercial team or our agency overall, we are always able to Consider it Done with Tina Singleton!
Here, in her own words, is a little more information about Tina:
Have you always had a career in the insurance field?
No, my first job out of high school was working for an answering service. I have been in the insurance field since 1988.
What do you find most challenging, and rewarding, about your role as Business Advisor?
Challenging - Dealing with multiple personalities; Rewarding – Learning and helping customers.
If you could go back in time and give your teen-aged self a bit of advice, what would it be?
Don’t get married at 17. LOL
What’s your favorite hobby or pastime?
Reading books on my Kindle or cross-stitching while enjoying a good cup of coffee.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world, money being no object, where would it be?
I would love to go to Ireland.
What’s your favorite movie of all time? (Or would you rather read a good book?)
I would rather read a good book.
