Meet Core Value Award Winner - Paula Vasse - March 2024

March 08, 2024

Every month, Schwartz Insurance Group selects a peer-nominated associate to receive a Core Value Award. The winner is chosen because they "lived" one of our agency's core values - typically an event or accomplishment above and beyond the call of duty in serving our customers. For March, Paula Vasse has "lived" our core value of "Get the Juices Flowing."

Here's her story:

Mentoring a new hire – especially someone who is new to the industry – is challenging and of critical importance. It can solidify a new associate’s mentality and approach potentially for years to come. We only trust great mentors!

It’s wonderful to hear compliments like “she gets it done in an efficient, productive, yet light and fun way ... I really admire that” and “she is great at rolling up her sleeves to make it all work.” It’s music to our ears and means we chose wisely.

Paula Vasse is passing the torch on in the perfect way, personifying many of our core values as she does so. She is showing us how to Get the Juices Flowing!

Here, in her own words, is a little more information about Paula:

What do you find most challenging about your role as a key Business Advisor? Do you have any advice for others on how to stay cool under pressure?

I believe the most challenging part is getting the insured/prospect to provide the required information needed to work on the account – especially in a timely manner. I just try to make the best out of every situation with a positive attitude.

Let’s pretend you never entered the insurance field. What career would you have chosen?

Years ago, I would have said I would have liked to be a teacher.  But now, I would choose a career that would allow me to be more involved with people, helping them with whatever could make their life more comfortable and happier.

What adjective best describes you?

Thought about this long and hard.  Even asked the family.  Did not come up with the same word twice.  So, the only word I can come up with is “indescribable” because one word just won’t do it!

Are you a Louisville native? If so, we have to ask: UK or U of L?

Yes, indeed, I am a Louisville native – so U of L!

The book or the movie?

The movie.

What’s your favorite musical genre? Country, rock and roll, classical…?

I like songs from every genre … with the exception of “rap.”

Congratulations on your Core Value Award, Paula - and thank you for doing such an excellent job for Schwartz Insurance Group. You are appreciated!
