Every month, Schwartz Insurance Group selects a peer-nominated associate to receive a Core Value Award. The winner is chosen because they "lived" one of our agency's core values - typically an event or accomplishment above and beyond the call of duty in serving our customers. This month, Suellen Brewer has "lived" our core value of "Quick to Smile."
Here's her story:
It’s nice to know someone always has your back. Too often, you hope those around you are willing to help when needed, but you don’t really know for certain until a challenging situation arises.
In business, this translates to knowing whether a teammate is going to step up when times are tough. Our Personal Advisors work hard for their clients – they respond to questions, resolve frustrating issues and ensure that carriers deliver on their promises. When a colleague is always positive, always willing to help you and you KNOW she has your back, that’s a great teammate to have!
Suellen Brewer is that type of person – we all know she will be there, ready to help and Quick to Smile!
Here, in her own words, is a little more information about Suellen:
You've been with Schwartz Insurance Group for over four years now. What do you find most rewarding about your role as Personal Advisor?
Ever since I began working at Schwartz in June of 2017, I've found the folks here to be incredible people who truly love helping others. That, too, is the most rewarding part of my responsibilities as a Personal Advisor.
Are you a Louisville native? What things do you like most about living in the Derby City?
I was born and raised in Louisville and I can't imagine living anywhere that doesn't experience all four seasons. Call me crazy, but I love fall and winter. Most of my family is here, so that's where I want to be, too.
The Kentucky Derby is my favorite thing about living in Louisville. It makes me proud that our beautiful city is showcased each year in May.
Do you have any hobbies or personal interests?
I've always been interested in history and historical events - especially those pertaining to World War II. My favorite hobby is taking care of my grandbabies!
If you could vacation anywhere in the world (money being no object), where would you visit?
I would love to take a long vacation in Europe once I retire. I love history so much and can only imagine the beautiful scenery and museums there.
What's your favorite movie of all time?
Don't laugh, but my favorite movie will always be "The Wizard of Oz." I can still watch it at my age and it always brings back that childlike wonder I felt the first time I saw it.
Are there any pets in the Brewer household?
Our family does have a Golden-Doodle named "Charlie."
Congratulations on your Core Value Award, Suellen - and thank you for doing such a terrific job for Schwartz Insurance Group. You are appreciated!
