Every month, Schwartz Insurance Group selects a peer-nominated associate to receive a Core Value Award. The winner is chosen because they "lived" one of our agency's core values - typically an event or accomplishment above and beyond the call of duty in serving our customers. This month, Michell Fust has "lived" our core value of "Consider it Done."
Here's her story:
It does wonders for the morale of a team when one member is upbeat, dependable and committed. It’s comforting to know someone will work hard, do all that’s required when others are out and respectfully speak up when necessary with helpful suggestions.
Add to that documentation in 360 – to simplify any needed back-up support – and that's the very definition of an ultimate team player. Michel Fust fits the bill and we are fortunate to have her here at Schwartz. With her, you can count on consistency and simply "Consider it Done!"
Here, in her own words, is a little more information about Michell:
You've been with Schwartz Insurance Group for over a year now. What are some of the things you find rewarding about working with the Commercial Lines team?
I like that our team is just that ... a team. We are always willing to go above and beyond to help each other out when needed.
How long have you worked in the insurance industry?
Thirteen years and counting.
Are you a Louisville native? If so, we have to ask: U.K. or UofL?
I am a Louisville native, however, I no longer reside in Louisville. I'm a HUGE UofL football fan. I don't get into basketball that much, but when I do watch it, it's normally a U.K. game since my husband is a fan. But anytime UofL plays against U.K., I always cheer on UofL.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world (money being no object), where would it be and why?
Well, if money was no object, I would travel all over the world. My bucket list includes NYC, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. And I would also love to visit Australia, Italy and Prague.
Are there any pets in the Fust household? (If not, do you prefer dogs or cats?)
I love dogs and cats equally. I did have a cat, but sadly, he passed away in May. Currently there are no pets in the household. I do have some geese that visit my yard every year and make their nests there. Between them and feeding the fish in the pond, it's enough for me right now.
What's your favorite movie of all time?
Am I allowed to list my top five movies? I am unable to pick just one! My favorites are Star Wars (any of them), How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Day After Tomorrow, Definitely Maybe, and any of the DC Comics/Marvel superhero films. (I think I watch way too many movies!)
Do you have any hobbies or personal interests?
I do love to read (when I get the time). I also enjoy cooking new foods, fishing, and I've taken up gardening this summer. (Does growing one tomato plant count as gardening? LOL)
Congratulations on your Core Value Award, Michell - and thank you for doing such a great job for Schwartz Insurance Group. You are appreciated!
