Every month, Schwartz Insurance Group selects a peer-nominated associate to receive a Core Value Award. The winner is chosen because they "lived" one of our agency's core values - typically an event or accomplishment above and beyond the call of duty in serving our customers. This month, Sandy Bryant has "lived" our core value of "There's Only Opportunity." Here's her story:
One person. One book. Sounds relaxing! But, for one person to deliver good, responsive service for an entire book of business ... that’s a lot to do!
Those are the daily challenges in the commercial insurance world – lots of opportunity for delivering service with limited time to do so. It takes the right approach and the right attitude to be successful.
Sandy Bryant has delivered! She tackles a challenge with superior reasoning, knowing how to make adjustments in order to handle whatever must be handled. Every day, she calmly and consistently reminds us ... "There’s Only Opportunity!"
Here, in her own words, is a little more information about Sandy:
Welcome to Team Schwartz, Sandy! How long have you worked in the insurance field?
I began working for the Kentucky Inspection Bureau (now ISO) back in late 1967. In 1974 I switched to a small independent agency, which was bought out by a New York agency. I ended up with a position at Ed Frank's company in 1992 - and then became a Schwartz team member in June of this year.
What has been the most challenging part of becoming a Business Advisor?
Learning a different management and billing system has been quite a challenge - but it's all starting to come together! Everyone here has been very supportive.
Tell us a little about your family (including any pets in the Bryant household).
My husband, Fieldon, and I have been married for forty-eight years and we have three wonderful grown children: Scott, Elizabeth and Alan. They are all married now and have given us five precious grandchildren: John, Zachary, Colin, Ben and Sarah. As for pets, the Bryant household is currently home to an eight-year-old feline named "Mr. Bo."
The book or the movie?
I always prefer the book!
Do you have any hobbies or personal interests?
I have many hobbies and interests, but my favorite ones are camping, gardening and cooking.
Congratulations on your Core Value Award, Sandy - and thank you for doing such a great job for Schwartz Insurance Group. You are appreciated!
