Every month, Schwartz Insurance Group selects a peer-nominated associate to receive a Core Value Award. The winner is chosen because they "lived" one of our agency's core values - typically an event or accomplishment above and beyond the call of duty in serving our customers. This month, Suellen Brewer has "lived" our core value of "Quick to Smile."
Here's her story:
Along with all the opportunity, change often leads to responsibility and that can be daunting. Anyone willing and able to accept a challenging new role with a positive “can do” attitude is a treasured find for any organization.
And when that associate chooses a kind smile over a complaint or soldiering through versus becoming overwhelmed, it is our valued clients who benefit the most.
On our team, Suellen Brewer is certainly a dedicated Personal Advisor. She also LOVES taking care of clients and is forever “Quick to Smile!”
Here, in her own words, is a little more information about Suellen:
You've been with Schwartz Insurance Group for over a year now. What do you find most rewarding about your role as Personal Advisor?
Ever since I began working at Schwartz in June of 2017, I've found the folks here to be incredible people who truly love helping others. That, too, is the most rewarding part of my responsibilities as a Personal Advisor.
Are you a Louisville native? What things do you like most about living in the Derby City?
I was born and raised in Louisville and I can't imagine living anywhere that doesn't experience all four seasons. Call me crazy, but I love fall and winter. Most of my family is here, so that's where I want to be, too.
The Kentucky Derby is my favorite thing about living in Louisville. It makes me proud that our beautiful city is showcased each year in May.
Do you have any hobbies or personal interests?
I've always been interested in history and historical events - especially those pertaining to World War II. My favorite hobby is taking care of my grandbabies!
If you could vacation anywhere in the world (money being no object), where would you visit?
I would love to take a long vacation in Europe once I retire. I love history so much and can only imagine the beautiful scenery and museums there.
What's your favorite movie of all time?
Don't laugh, but my favorite movie will always be "The Wizard of Oz." I can still watch it at my age and it always brings back that childlike wonder I felt the first time I saw it.
Are there any pets in the Brewer household?
Our family does have a new Golden-Doodle named "Charlie." He is only five months old and is still doing all the crazy "puppy" things, but he's getting better.
Congratulations on your Core Value Award, Suellen - and thank you for doing such a great job for Schwartz Insurance Group. You are appreciated!
