Here's her story:
Our agency also needs insurance coverage, so we are essentially a customer. When our benefits open enrollment elections come around, it could prove to be just as complicated as it is for other businesses. But, not so fast, says our new Benefits Advocate!
Schedules are tight for our accounting team, which is normal for year’s end.Deductions must be updated, and the more organized the process and better the communication, the happier our team will be.
Thanks to the quick, conscientious work of our newest Benefits Advocate, the open enrollment process went beyond smoothly this year. It was a blessing to one important “client” - and we owe Chaley Trail a big thank-you. With her, we can Consider it Done!
Here, in her own words, is a little more information about Chaley:
You just joined Team Schwartz a short time ago, and you have already been declared a Core Value Award winner! Great job. Can you tell us what you find most challenging and/or rewarding about your role as a Benefits Advocate?
The most rewarding part of my role is helping employees and employers through Open Enrollment and making that transition feel less overwhelming. I enjoy answering questions and helping people feel confident in their benefit choices. The biggest challenge is keeping up with constant changes, but I like learning and staying on top of things so I can best support our clients.
Are you a Louisville native? Tell us a bit about your background. Have you worked in the insurance field before?
I was born in Leitchfield, Kentucky but moved to Louisville for college and have been here ever since. This is my first year working in insurance, and prior to joining Schwartz Insurance Group, I worked as a teacher. That experience helped build my communication skills and passion for helping others, which has translated well into my role as a Benefits Advocate.
Do you have any hobbies or personal interests?
Outside of work, I love spending time with my children. We enjoy going to the library together, playing outside, and exploring different parks whenever we can.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world – money being no object – where would you choose to visit?
If I could vacation anywhere in the world, I would choose Croatia. I’d love to explore the coastline, enjoy the scenery, and experience the culture.
What adjective best describes you?
Thoughtful. I try to be intentional and really listen before responding. I like taking the time to understand people and situations so I can be as helpful as possible.
What’s your favorite movie of all time? Or do you prefer reading books?
I’m more of a reader than a movie person. I just finished Pachinko and really enjoyed it, and I’m starting Lonesome Dove now. I love getting wrapped up in a good book.
Rock and roll or country music? Or do you prefer another musical genre?
I’m more into rock and roll. Some of my favorite bands are The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys, but I enjoy a mix depending on the mood.
Congratulations on your Core Value Award, Chaley - and thank you for doing such a terrific job for Schwartz Insurance Group. You’re appreciated!
